It has a brushless motor for stable running and long service life, with full inflation, strong seal lines and speeds of up to 28 m/min. It is also the only one of our machines that runs our 800mm bubble film. Because Navy Seal tends to suit high volume operations, it's often supplied as part of free loan equipment.

Setting up and loading the film
- Fit the discharge shaft, short guide stick, long guide stick and large guide shaft in the positions shown in the manual, using the hex key.
- Connect and switch on the power and put the film roll on the discharge shaft.
- Pull the film so that the air pipe enters the film inlet.
- Press Feed in while gently pulling the film through the belt cover.
- Press Start to inflate.
If the power switch light is on but the display is off, check whether the emergency stop switch has been pressed. If so, pull it up to release it. Do not load film rolls heavier than 7 kg, and do not start the machine without film loaded.
Recommended settings
These are starting points. Speed and air volume must be matched to the film you are using, and there are no fixed values, so adjust them to suit your film.
Air pillow film 200mm x 100mm
- 18 µm: 110 °C, speed setting 70, air setting 40
- 20 µm: 112 °C, speed setting 70, air setting 40
Air pillow film 200mm x 200mm
- 18 µm: 110 °C, speed setting 70, air setting 60

Replacing the blade
Switch off and unplug the machine first. Replace the blade promptly if the film runs unevenly or sticks.
- Loosen the 4 captive screws on the upper and lower belt covers and remove the covers.
- Pull the air pipe out in the direction of the arrow.
- Turn the fixing screw on the air pipe anticlockwise to remove the old blade.
- Seat the new blade in its groove, making sure the tip is fully inside the groove, and turn the screw clockwise to tighten it.
- Push the air pipe back into position and refit the covers.
Replacing the belt
- Loosen the captive screws of the protective cover and remove the cover.
- Release the upper and lower maintenance levers. Releasing them makes it easier to swap wearable parts such as the wheels and belts.
- Push the heating block towards the pulley, remove the old belt and fit the new one.
- Close both maintenance levers and refit the cover.
Replacing the high-temperature tape
If the seal edge is weak or damaged after long use, check the temperature setting and the high-temperature tape, and replace the tape if it is damaged.
- Remove the belt cover and push the heating block towards the pulley to loosen the belt.
- Remove the belt, then use the hex key to loosen the screws and remove the cover in the middle of the heating block.
- Remove the heating block (take care, as the spring may spring out).
- Peel off the old high-temperature tape and fit new tape.
- Refit the heating block, belt and belt cover in turn.
Routine maintenance
- Monthly: open the belt cover and blow out dust and debris, and check the machine parts for abnormal wear.
- Yearly: contact your authorised dealer or our technical service team to arrange an on-site inspection.
Common faults and solutions
- The film does not move forward: check the hook switch is in place, reduce the air, check the blade for rust or chips and replace it if damaged, and check the traction wheel and belt for debris and clean them.
- The seal line is broken (temperature too high): reduce the temperature.
- Air leaks or the film is not sealed properly: increase the temperature.
- The film comes out of the machine: reduce the air.
- The belt slips: check the traction wheel and belt for debris and clean them.
- The power switch light is on but the display is off: check whether the emergency stop switch has been pressed. If so, pull it up to release it.

Safety
Make sure the machine is properly earthed, and use a single-phase, three-wire power cord with a reliable earth connection. Do not open the protective or access cover unless you are an authorised technician. The sealing rollers and seal line are hot and may cause burns, so keep fingers, hair, clothing and jewellery away from the traction wheel when the machine is running or when loading film. Do not use the machine in a humid environment. The emergency stop switch is not a pause or stop button. Inflated cushions are for packaging only. See the manual for the full safety instructions.
Warranty and support
Machines purchased from Forever Green Packaging carry a 1 year warranty from the install date, and parts needed after the first year may be chargeable. Machines supplied on loan are serviced at no charge for as long as the loan continues. The Navy Seal is designed for use with Forever Green Packaging film, and we support it for as long as it is being used with our film. Using other film may affect seal quality and is outside our support.
