What was the challenge?
LaDeDa Living, a home and giftware supplier, faced a growing challenge in optimising its packaging process to meet the demands of sustainability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Their existing methods were creating real operational and commercial problems.Void fill is any material used to fill the empty space between your product and the walls of the box it ships in. Without it, products shift during transit, collide with the sides of the box, and arrive damaged. The right void fill keeps everything snug, absorbs shocks and prevents movement — so your customers open their parcels to find exactly what they ordered, in perfect condition.
The current packaging methods resulted in wasted space, increased damages, and a poor customer unboxing experience. With three delicate items of varying sizes all being shipped in the same oversized cardboard box with loose void fill, neither the products nor the brand were being presented at their best.
